Hi Adam,
Recently I read a story about a person who worked with one of the 72 angels to request for money. What ended up happening was that his car got rear ended by a police officer, and received $500 as a compensation.
Another person made a similar monetary request to a shem angel, and as a result he got into a life changing accident, and started receiving monthly disability cheques from the government.
Why would the angels grant people’s wishes in such disheartening manners? Do you have any advice on preventing that from happening? What’s the best way to word out the request to the angels so that the results come in a safe, peaceful, non hurtful manner?
As we keep saying, if you read around (especially online) you’ll find a veritable treasure chest of horror stories about angels. But from what I have seen, this isn’t remotely true, or even possible. I have evoked these angels directly, using methods not published yet, and what I have been shown made it so clear to me that this is not how these things work. If angels did that sort of things, I would walk away from the occult right now.
On a more mundane level I look at this way: I have known many people work with these angels (more people than you can imagine), and using pure statistics some of those people are going to get rich, some are going to die suddenly and some will go crazy. That happens whenever you ‘know’ a few hundred people – it’s basic mathematics. But when you’re using magick, you can say magick caused everything. The truth is, people get rich and happy and find love *without* magick, all the time. People get cancer and have accidents all the time, and it’s nothing to do with magick. When people seek money and have an accident, it’s easy to blame the magick. In my opinion, based on a life of magick, this is completely false.
How do you tell the difference between chance and a real result? One, by knowing angels wouldn’t do something dumb. Secondly, by experience. When you work with these angels for a long time you get a sense of the subtle and understanding ways they work. Although some say they don’t understand humans and work with apparent stupidity, I see this as nothing more than propaganda. The angels don’t injure you or cause accidents to get you what you want. I see that as nothing more than coincidence, or maybe disinformation. And this is not just based on wishful thinking where I want to see all good results as true magick, and all bad results as nothing to do with it – it’s based on several decades of experience and observation, and most importantly, directly experiencing the presence of these angels and communicating with them.
Magick takes the path of least resistance, but it’s absolute nonsense to suggest that injuring people is the path of least resistance, when seen from an angelic point of view, or even a common sense point of view.
You are free to disagree, and I’m not even sure there’s much point in me stating all this, because the myth of ‘payment’ is so prevalent we’ll never stop it. Damon already covered this in the FAQ up there, a bit:

A: The story goes that you do money magick, and then your parents die in a car crash so you get some quick money and you have to live with the guilt forever. While it is true that magick does take the path of least resistance, there are much easier ways for you to get money than by having your parents die. If you try to curse somebody to death you’ll find it very difficult indeed, so don’t expect death to happen due to a magickal accident. The magick in these books has been constrained to remain safe, so you can be assured that nobody you care about will come to harm. I think his answer applies here. There are much easier ways to get money than through accidents and a life of disability.

Questions:
1. In one of her books, Doreen Virtue mentions that she works only with the archangels and stays away from the 72 King Solomon angels (which she believes are fallen angels). However, I believe they’re completely different from the 72 angels in Damon’s and Zanna’s books? From your experience, how do the 72 Solomon angels differ from the 72 Shemhamphorasch angels in the GOM books?
2. I’m married to someone who unfortunately I don’t think is a good fit for me. I think that for our highest and best good, it’s best that we go our separate ways (legally). I’m good friends with someone who’s a much better fit. As I’m still married, I’m only friends with this other lady…..however, I know in my deepest heart that she sort of has feelings for me (which she blocks because she knows I’m married), and I know that if I were single, her feelings could develop into something greater (and I sincerely hope to be able to marry her and have a family with her, eventually.) Do you think the angel Eshaliah (Asaliah) would be able to help reveal/enhance the other lady’s true feelings for me? Any other angels you can recommend? Any sigils?
3. Despite our great differences, I want my present wife to be taken care of….i.e.: after the separation I want to make sure she’s happy, healthy, all around well, prosper, and be happy with someone who’s a better fit for her. And I know that the universe/angels “paint in broad stroke” and can work a bit randomly, and I would NEVER want our separation to happen because of something terrible (i.e.: her getting kidnapped by villains and never to be seen again…etc. I just want a civil, humane, normal separation). How should I word this request? And to which angel(s) / sigils? What feelings should I have when making this request?

We don’t comment on the work of other authors for loads of reasons, but in cases like this because if we haven’t read it we don’t know exactly what they mean or why they said it and before you know it we’ve said something about them and their work that doesn’t apply. It gets too complicated…. and we try to focus on our practical magick or we’ll never get anything else done.
But the angels in The 72 Angels of magick are known as something like The Angels of The Shemhamphoras (and other spellings) – but Wiki and other online sources are notoriously terrible, so watch out for those. It’s impossible for me to recommend a good book – there are so many bad ones, and even the good ones aren’t always great and will contain many spellings that differ from ours because it all depends on the sources and how they are used etc. and that makes users fret about it all. But there are many sources of theory out there. Look for the reputable academic authors. It’s not going to be practical stuff, but if you want the theory, that’s where you get it. Each angel does correspond to a demon – that is, each angel can be used to constrain a particular goetic demon. Rudd’s work on this was an interesting starting point for a lot of people.
2.) Without any magick, I can bet I know what would get her to reveal her feelings – seeing your separation underway. But I don’t know you or her, so that’s me guessing. If you want to use magick, yes, good choice of angel!. Or Vehuel if you just want to know, rather than influence. But angel choice should always be yours, so you know what you’re getting into and why, and what sort of result you actually want.
3) In all my long years I have never seen angels cause disasters to achieve something that can achieved with nothing more than a thought or feeling. So it’s safe, in that sense. It’s not safe in the sense that even the very best and kindest separations are usually really bloody awful, one way or another. That’s just the reality of it, most of the time. Magick can help get you through that (72 Sigils and Angels of Alchemy are best for personal strength in these situations). But I’m not sure what you’re asking an angel to do? If you want an angel to make her the one that decides on a separation, instead of you, that’s a tall order. It could be done (can be done, I’ve seen it), but it’s a very long way around. If you want the separation, you can just ask for one – but if you want magick to make it as calm and understanding as possible, yes, it can help. I always say to people before a separation, do all you can to make yourself strong, calm, compassionate, resolute, whatever it takes – and maybe work to make the other person receptive to the idea. To know what you need might mean many hours of pondering with those books mentioned above, to find out what would get you through it all.
Does the GoM have a stronger curse than the Master Curse, that is available to the public or considered for release in the near future…. or a way to strengthen that curse further? Thank you so much!
Around the middle of 2017 there will be something that gives you more fine tuning and control but it’s not necessarily stronger. That curse often takes effect and you don’t see it because people hide their pain, very , very well. But if it’s not working as you want then combine it with other attacks – weaken first, or cause disruption first. Or at the same time. Sustained attack should get through.
