  1. From Chaos, magickian’s can and do create auric shields with mirrored surfaces that serve to protect them by reflecting back to the sender with equal or amplified intensity any curse and/or malefic thought.

With this in mind, I am wondering what is The Gallery of Magick’s experience in the employment of demons or angels for works of revenge/justice against such a defence, please?

      1. I apologise, Damon. This technology is new to me and I’m still getting a feel of how it works. Before I knew it, the Post button was clicked.

  2. Hi Damon, it is me again. I do want to share that I had once gone to a “witch doctor”, “curandero”, etc for a wealth/money blessing and the strangest thing he did just as he was finishing up and reciting, he said in spanish “you will have money but you will pay for it” and laughed this wicked laugh. I walked out and thought – I will not accept that. But, now, just in case – I mention it as one of those curses I might have had. And “why” would this person say that as opposed to wishing me the best? this is what I mean about strange responses from people which I find peculiar. I have had many blessings in my life but I have sort of retracted from the world – tired of this sort of thing and then using my will to “get up and brush off and keep on trucking” My energy can go to so much more productive and life affirming experiences. You are so Appreciated !

    thanks again

    1. Thank you. I can’t imagine what this person’s motivation may have been. It’s true that when you perform magick with another person you are potentially more vulnerable than usual, but that doesn’t mean the other person would actually go to the effort of exploiting that. The other things is that curses are not made to last forever – that is, it takes a tremendous effort to make a curse that lasts a long time. People often worry that they are suffering from a curse that has been around for a decade or more, but curses are rarely lifelong. God to know that you are going to keep on trucking.

    1. Chaos magick was important to us, and certainly helped us break free of tradition – it still informs a lot of what we do. With that said, I find that only the best chaos magick is as strong as the most simple ceremonial magick. In my experience. So it’s tempting to say that these shields would be no match for a curse from Magickal Attack. But let’s assume that the chaos magician is very, very good. In that case, it can work as a shield, as protection, but there simply isn’t a mechanism that can return the curse without a direct interaction with the associated spirits. It’s just not that automatic. So, yes, protection can stop attacks, so a successful attack needs to be persistent – but only if your target truly knows magick and protection. It’s not as common as you may think. There aren’t as many occultists in the world as there are troublesome people. Most of the people who try to cause harm to us don’t know the first thing about magick. And returning the curse just doesn’t happen.

      1. Damon, please correct me if I am wrong. I do. I think I am getting what you say. If I sought justice or revenge VIA a demon or angel against a magickian with said defence, any intention or program to reflect back to sender with equal or amplified intensity could not happen without ‘a direct interaction with the associated spirits.’ But, if I have heard you correctly and the Chaos magickian (or any magickian for that matter) is very, very good, is it within the realm of possibility to divine the source of the attack and, say, turn back the angel or demon upon the wizard who feeling the sense of injustice sent it forth? I mean, you have written about constraints, but can these spirits be bribed? In your experience can a magickian who really knows his stuff constrain a spirit to have it return back to the one who in the first place sought to employ it? I am trying to make sense of a situation I am in and finally resolve to do something about it.

        1. It’s theoretically possible, but so difficult and so rare to find somebody with that amount of skill that personally I wouldn’t even think about it, even if going up against a known and experienced occultist.

If you perform a curse and seem to feel backlash, it is far more likely to be from another source, rather than a curse ‘bouncing back’. If you feel guilt, as mentioned in Gordon’s book, that can undermine your work and lead to side effects, but if you don’t, the magick is very secure.

          1. Just butting in. Would I be correct in believing that if a backlash is felt, then it may well also be down to a lapse or a lack of adequate protection? If you don’t protect yourself daily when you attack someone magickally and you have, on some level, some feelings of guilt, no matter how minor, then that’s a probable cause behind the “backlash”?

            1. In the book, Gordon says, ‘A lifetime of observation has shown me that there is no backlash, even when curses are cast casually and without protection.’ I think that says it all. The Ritual To Wield Power gives you the authority to command, and the angels and demons look after the rest.
